Sawyer Free Library has a fun filled Spring Egg Decorating craft session planned. Kids can decorate craft eggs here at the library to take home! We will paint, color, & decorate faux eggs (materials will be provided.) Registration is required. Register each child individually.
Gloucester Education Foundation is proud to host the 6th Power of Play Festival, a day of play for families and kids of all ages. Play is an important learning tool that promotes creative and innovative thinking. Play also helps kids develop skills that are a foundation for life-long success, including critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and collaboration. Maritime Gloucester has planned some interesting programs for kids during April Vacation 2024! The programs are geared towards learning about life in the sea, around it and on it! Four sessions are offered through the week for kids ages 5-10, with age-based groups for kids aged 5-7 in the morning and 8-10 in the afternoon. These sessions are part story, part presentation and part art or craft project. Kids will learn about sea life, coastal habitats and the food chain that supports us all!

Historic Stage Fort Park along Gloucester Harbor will once again blossom into the colorful 42nd Annual Gloucester Waterfront Festival. A collection of over 175 Juried Artists and Craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations, live music, plus delicious ethnic foods. A pancake breakfast and traditional New England Lobster Bake complement this picture perfect seaport event!

From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Put on your winter coat and visit the Cape Ann Museum during February School Vacation Week! The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, February 20 – Thursday, February 22. On Friday, February 23 the Museum will have free admission for all visitors thanks to generous support from the Highland Street Foundation’s Winter Camp Initiative.
