Gloucester Education Foundation proudly hosts is proud to host their annual Power of Play Festival, a day of play for Gloucester families and kids of all ages. Play is an important learning tool that promotes creative and innovative thinking. Play also helps kids develop skills that are a foundation for life-long success, including critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and collaboration.
Waldorf School at Moraine Farm hosts their first ever 5K trail race through Moraine Farm! This is an exclusive opportunity to run on this private property, thanks to our Moraine Farm partners at Project Adventure. After the run enjoy a healthy picnic celebration with music, games and fun. Your registration fee includes a lunch ticket. Alternately, if you are not a runner and would like to participate in the picnic celebration, you can purchase a $10 meal ticket through the registration link below.
Join us for our family event night on Thursday, January 31st from 6-8pm. The Book Fair will be open for shopping, there will be a book reading by the Author, B.B. Walsh, a photo booth and Cherry Hill ice cream will be available for sale with North Beverly's very own ice cream flavor, "Shooting Stars". Join us for this fun filled event!
For the last 10 years the Gloucester Public School District and Gloucester Education Foundation have organized this amazing community event which highlights the artistic gifts of the students in our city. This celebration features art and performances from children in every school in the Gloucester Public School District. Paintings, ceramics, photography, woodworking, theater pieces and musical performances will be on display throughout the downtown area — in City Hall, Sawyer Free Library, the Cape Ann Museum, and the Sculpture Park. Come and enjoy the talents of our students!
Waldorf School at Moraine Farm Celebrates 30 Years of Building Character. Honorary Chairman Congressman Seth Moulton and Board of Trustees cordially invite you to join in the fun for the 30th Anniversary Spring Soiree. Atendees will enjoy a night of celebration with dinner by Bonne Bouche Catering, Dessert from Pure Pastry Desserts and dancing with a ten piece Swing Band.
Come to this once-a-year event sponsored by the Essex PTO and meet local artists as they share their crafts with hands-on projects designed for kids. There will be opportunities to work with paint, sculpture, clay, printmaking, wood and more. Join the fun in the school cafeteria. This is a free event.

Sparhawk School in Amesbury Ma. is proud to present, Bye Bye Birdie with three shows May 20, 21, and 22. Rock star Conrad Birdie is the biggest thing to top the charts. Women love him, men want to be him and teenage girls around the country scream with glee at the mere mention of his name. But when the United States Army drafts Birdie, manager Albert Peterson sees his meal ticket preparing to fly the coop (much to the delight of longtime love Rose Alvarez, who can’t wait for Albert to ditch the music biz and become something respectable, like an English teacher).
Cruise for Schools on the Beauport Princess – supporting innovation in education in Gloucester Public Schools
The Gloucester Education Foundation’s 2014 summer fundraiser, “Cruise for Schools” is coming Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 5-8pm. The event will be a sunset cruise aboard the Beauport Princess, docked at Cruiseport in downtown Gloucester, and will feature live music, including performances by local musicians and musically talented teachers and administrators.
