Sawyer Free Library invites families to some game night fun! Whether you're a bingo pro or a first-time player, we want you to join us for an afternoon of friendly competition, great prizes, and maybe even some bingo puns! Bring the whole family and see if you can be the lucky winner.
You do not have access to view this node and BevRec are teaming up to offer Chess Nights in the Barnett Gallery in the main Library at 32 Essex St, Beverly. The first Monday of each month through May, come and play the world’s greatest game (if you don’t count Pac Man) with your neighbors. This is not an instructional class, but rather a meet up for people who are looking to play.
Students in grades 2-6 are invited to weekly evening chess instruction by high school student Flynn MacCallum at levels from beginner through advanced players on Mondays in the Children’s Room. The Children’s Room will provide chess boards and pieces. This program is supported by the Oliver P. Killam, Jr. Fund.
The 1st Annual Homecoming Bocce Tournament will take place on the campus of The Waring School, 35 Standley Street, Beverly, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 10. Teams of 2, 3, or 4 players can enter. The tournament will feature a single elimination tournament on grass courts, followed by a “final contest” on the Waring School bocce court. Restrooms will be available in the gymnasium on campus. Do you like Pokemon? Would you like to hang out with other kids who like Pokemon? You can bring your cards, see what others have, or play Pokemon. No prior knowledge is necessary. Registration is requested, but you are welcome to drop in if you forget to register!

Join Governor's Academy student, Dylan Uttam, for an 8 week workshoip in chess. There will be 8 Wednesday afternoon workshop sessions from September 20 until November 8. Designed for children ages 8 - 13 years old. Beginners & experienced players welcome! Space is limited. Registration is required.
Rockport Residents and visitors alike are invited to the Rockport High School chapter of the National Honor Society production of "Are You Smarter than a High Schooler?". The game show will take place at the Shalin Liu Performance Center on Wednesday, January 29th at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the show will benefit the Oncology Unit at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.
