Ipswich Public Library invites kids and families toto take part in some February Vacation Fun! Play a Giant Candy Land game throughout the library! Work your way with your group of family and friends throughout the library on the giant gameboard. Hopefully you won’t spin and land on the black dots but will keep moving forward to the Candy Land Castle. Register for half hour slots available from 2-6pm.
Students in grades 2-5 are welcome to come to this informal chess club to practice by playing with others also interested in developing their skills and sharing an interest in chess. The class will be held on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with facilitator Ben Konoff and his daughter, Abigail, helping kids with some of the basics of chess and getting live playing practice on a weekly basis.

The first Monday of each month through December, come and play the world’s greatest game with your neighbors. This is not an instructional class, but rather a meet up for people who are looking to play.

The 1st Annual Homecoming Bocce Tournament will take place on the campus of The Waring School, 35 Standley Street, Beverly, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 10. Teams of 2, 3, or 4 players can enter. The tournament will feature a single elimination tournament on grass courts, followed by a “final contest” on the Waring School bocce court. Restrooms will be available in the gymnasium on campus. Rockport Residents and visitors alike are invited to the Rockport High School chapter of the National Honor Society production of "Are You Smarter than a High Schooler?". The game show will take place at the Shalin Liu Performance Center on Wednesday, January 29th at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the show will benefit the Oncology Unit at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.
