FC Academy: Stop-Motion Animation

Cabot Theater in Beverly Massachusetts hosts a stop motion film program for kids during February vacation week!

For our Stop-Motion Animation class students will learn the principles of Animation and create their own short film using various materials provided by FC Academy and objects found around the house. Students will learn to explore their creativity and storytelling skills while also implementing filmmaking techniques such as editing, camera use, and directing.

Join PEM as they celebrate the Lunar New Year | The Year of the Rabbit!  Lunar New Year is celebrated in many Asian countries, including China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia. While some traditions are shared across countries, others are unique to one region, community or national cultural identity. Our programming this year focuses on Chinese cultural traditions.

Grab a blanket and the kids and head over to Salem Common at dusk for an outdoor showing of some favorite family-friendly movies that will get you in the mood for a spooktacular Halloween!  Join the City of Salem and Creative Collective on October 2, 2022, in an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus 2 at the Salem Common, the very same park where Allison and Max walked to school in Hocus Pocus! Please note, the Salem Common is an outdoor venue and seating is not provided. We recommend bringing blankets, pillows, and hoodies. The Food Court will be open on the Common
