Plant Sale fundraiser at Emma Andrews Library in Newburyport Massachusetts

Emma Andrews Library and Community Center invites you to the library for their annual fundraising plant sale!   As you are contemplating your gardens and find an excess of plants or plants that need dividing, please donate them to us. Plants may be dropped off in the backyard of the Emma at 77 Purchase Street on Friday, May 31. And then, come join us on Saturday, June 1 to find wonderful offerings for your garden. All proceeds go to fund the general expenses to keep the library running.

Our dedicated team will strive to provide the very best in local goods while creating a new avenue to give back to our community. Swampscott Farmer's Market

The Swampscott Farmers Market happens every Sunday through October.

Rain or shine, the Swampscott Farmers’ Market features a wide variety of produce, meats, fish, breads, flowers and crafts from farmers, food producers, and artisans from around Massachusetts and nearby New England states. Anchoring the market, Swampscott will have Clark Farm providing a large variety of produce, as well as John Crow Farms bringing produce, meats and poultry. Other vendors include Maitland Mountain Farms (known for their pickles and flowers), Fille de Ferme (producer of homemade jams and jellies), Cherry Street Fish Market, Big Sky Breads, and more.

Join Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm and the Essex Base Ball Association for a day of vintage base ball! The four teams of Essex Base Ball, the Newburyport Clamdiggers, Lowell Base Ball Club, Portsmouth Rockingham's, and the Lynn Live Oaks, play using 1864 rules. At these fun, historically accurate games, gloves are not allowed, players pitch underhand, and a ball bounced once and caught is an out. Memorial Day is a big celebration in Saugus, MA. Come thank our veterans.

The Saugus Veterans Council Memorial Day Parade will step off from Anna Parker Playground at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2024 and proceed through Cliftondale Square, down Central Street to Winter Street and end at the Veterans Lot in Riverside Cemetery. Our Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at the Veterans Lot immediately following the parade. This year, our Parade and Ceremony will be broadcast live on WMEX Boston 1510 AM and 101.9 FM.
