The Patricia Lockwood Bach Scholarship for the Arts is pleased to announce a May 20th fundraising event at Marblehead Little Theatre. The Bach Scholarship is awarded to a Marblehead High School graduating senior who intends to pursue higher education in the creative arts.

This year you can look forward to touring Peru, Sweden, India, China, Japan, Italy, Brazil, Morocco, and the Azores.
The morning will end with live performances. Enjoy Chinese Instrumental music, the Lawrence High School Youth Dance Company, and Roberto Chuica – Peruvian Folklore.

The Van Loan School at Endicott College is offering a FREE Early Childhood Education Series for educators and parents! Parents will benefit from this series by learning about some of the techniques used by ECE teachers, allowing for a better level of interaction with the people teaching their children. What you learn in these seminars will help you set the expectatations of the school with your child at home. This three part webinar series will cover effective behavior strategies, home to school partnerships, and introducing your child to science as a catalyst to studying many subjects.
Take a moment this month and join Teen Librarian Katy to try your hand at watercolor painting. It's time to catch our breaths and slow down. After watching a brief watercolor video all together, you will use the provided materials to conjure up your own winter scenes on paper and check out what others are doing at the same time.
For students in grades 1 to 5. Jenny Carlson (form High Street Studio in Ipswich) will be the instructor of a Movement mapping program which contains a STEM activity and the art of dance. Symbols designate different dance moves and students draw and design their own choreography map! The participants will perform the dance that they drafted on paper and then the dancers will perform each other's movement maps. Math, science, and dance all in the same program.
Glen Urquhart School opens doors for future GUS families to explore. Their 23-acre campus is centered around an accessible child-scaled village, right-sized to allow students to explore and learn from their surroundings.
In partnership with the Imagination Foundation, the Phoenix School will host its annual Cardboard Challenge at Armory Park in Salem. Join in the worldwide celebration of creativity and imagination where everyone is challenged to design and create using cardboard and recycled materials. The Phoenix School Cardboard Challenge is part of a global Day of Play around the world. The Phoenix School’s Global Cardboard Challenge is an opportunity for kids, parents, students of all ages, adults -- everyone!-- to join in the FUN!
