Every Saturday morning we attend the Boston Ballet School dance programs. Anne loves the dressing up, the twirling, the sea of pink, and we're thrilled that it’s something she enjoys so much — and that it’s nurturing her in so many positive ways and the benefits will last her a lifetime.

On Wednesday, December 4th from 6-7:30 p.m., Marblehead Children's Center will host a workshop for teachers and parents. Local holistic nutritionist, Heather Borghesi, M.S., Owner of Butterfly Nutrition. will give expert advise on her favorite topic "Child Behavior and Nutrition - Could it be the food? "

Lena Liholipa, the Marblehead principal, will be available to introduce parents to the after-school math program, answer questions and provide free math evaluations for all students for placement in the award-winning RSM math program. Ms. Liholipa will walk parents through a typical classroom experience, explaining the unique European approach to teaching mathematics.

Marblehead High School Senior Art Show

Come see the Marblehead High School Senior Art Show at Abbot Library

Come to the Abbot Public Library May 9 – June 2 to step into Marblehead's own version of the Van Gogh's Starry Night. This inspired theme will be the backdrop for this year’s Marblehead High School's Annual Senior Art Show. The show will exhibit different media, from photographs to busts to paintings, all created by the students of the class of 2016. Many of the pieces have won awards in art competitions and are truly spectacular to look upon. The opening night reception will be on Monday, May 16, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Abbot's art gallery.

The Magic Typewriter at Abbot Library

Kids will meet Paul Korins, authro of 'The Magic Typewriter' at Abbot Library in Marblehead.

Children ages 8-12 are invited to an afterschool program with children's author Paul Korins focused on his most recent book, [amazon:1519110200:inline]. The novel is a time-travel, historical story, during which a 12-year-old boy is transported to the 1930s, experiencing the hard times of the Great Depression. He will be talking with students at the program about the hardships endured by families, and what life was like for children back then.
