Quintessential Brass takes the role of the brass quintet to the limit and beyond playing Classical, jazz, rock, funk and pop hits, as well as music from movies, TV, Broadway and the Big Band Era. Programs are selected to entertain audiences of all ages. This brass quintet consists of five full-time professional musicians who have, individually, performed with groups all over the world, recorded CDs and movie soundtracks, performed for Presidents, and at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
Praised by car aficionados as one of the best shows in New England, the Misselwood Concours d’Elegance is a boutique car show that also serves as a fundraiser for scholarships at Endicott College. The show attracts car owners and crowds from across New England and has become the prime classic car event of the summer. Located on the waterfront, the Misselwood Estate offers unrivaled lawn and oceanfront setting with views of the Atlantic Ocean, which forms an incredible backdrop for iconic cars and motorcycles and will turn the event in a great family-friendly weekend.
Learn and train at Waring Sports Skills clinics, a 5-day training clinic aimed at creating well-rounded lacrosse and soccer players. Each day we will focus on improving fundamental skills, tactical vision, strength, speed, endurance and agility. Registration is by week and will run Monday-Friday from 9am-1:30pm. Pick one sport or come for both! We’ll start out with some getting to know you games and work into passing and skills tutorials. We’ll work on techniques, craft some plays, and end each day with a skills based competition or scrimmaging. The week will end with a small tournament, and students will come away with stronger skills and better confidence on the field. Join us!

The 1st Annual Homecoming Bocce Tournament will take place on the campus of The Waring School, 35 Standley Street, Beverly, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 10. Teams of 2, 3, or 4 players can enter. The tournament will feature a single elimination tournament on grass courts, followed by a “final contest” on the Waring School bocce court. Restrooms will be available in the gymnasium on campus. WaringWorks Jr. at Waring School in Beverly is a half-day or full day program for kids ages 5-7 that involves arts and crafts, movement, outdoor play, jewelry-making, theater, yoga, games and more. The half day program will run 9am-1pm daily. If you would like to register your child for a full day, that can be accommodated for an additional fee.
The Trustees of Reservations invites you Celebrate Japan! at Long Hill and Sedgwick Gardensin partnership with the Japan Society of Boston. Long Hill is collaborating with the Japan Society of Boston again this year to celebrate Japanese culture. The Sedgwick family, who owned and cared for Long Hill from 1916 to 1979, collected Japanese artifacts and Japanese plantings as Mabel Cabot Sedwick was an accomplished gardener and the author of The Garden Month by Month, and her husband, Ellery Sedgwick was a noted author and editor of The Atlantic Monthly. When Mabel passed in 1937, Ellery married Marjorie Russell Sedgwick, a rare plants specialist and the combined creative vision of these two women led to the design of Long Hill’s enchanting gardens. With the many Japanese artifacts and plantings, Long Hill is excited to celebrate Japanese culture through music, arts and much more!
