Plumfest 2023

Plumfest is an annual celebration of music and community on Plum Island in Newburyport

PlumFest is a non-profit volunteer-run organization incorporated as a Charitable Foundation to bring local musicians, island residents and visitors together to showcase the natural beauty and artistry that make Plum Island such a special place. As an early participant in the “porch-fest” movement that is gaining popularity nation-wide, PlumFest brings our own unique flavor to the mix, with an event that is sure to please.

Paddle the Great Marsh

Paddle the waters of the Parker River Wildlife Refuge on this ranger guided tour.

 What’s the secret to exploring the magic of the Great Marsh? Getting out on the water! Join park rangers from the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and paddling guides along the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge water trail to experience this unique habitat and the species that call it home. This program is free and all gear will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment!

Pedalin' Fools Mobile Bike Repair Clinic at ACM

Pedalin Fools host a bike repair clinic with "while you wait" service, with 10% of proceeds to benefit Amesbury Carriage Museum Massachusetts

ACM hosts a pop-up bike repair clinic with "while you wait" service, and sales of bicycle parts and accessories. Amesbury Carriage Museum will receive 10% of the proceeds generously donated by Pedalin’ Fools of Plaistow, NH.

Landmark 5k Road Race

Landmark School's annual 5K Road Race is a family fun event that helps support the mission of Landmark School.

Landmark School's 5K Road Race is part of their Homecoming & Fall Festival. It is one of the largest events of the academic year, bringing together students, parents, alumni, faculty, friends, and members of the broader North Shore community. This event is also part of the Landmark Cares fundraiser, which helps students who have dyslexia reach their full potential. Come run, walk, or stroller this scenic course during the beautiful New England fall season.

CoastSweep coastal cleanup on Plum Island September 2023 in Newbury Massachusetts

As part of COASTSWEEP Beach Cleanup, volunteers are encourage to come to Plum Island and help in the statewide effort to keep our coastline clean. COASTSWEEP is the annual statewide cleanup of Massachusetts coastal and riverine environments. Over more than 20 years, COASTSWEEP has engaged thousands of volunteers in cleaning hundreds of miles of shoreline and riverbanks.

Join Salem Sound Coastwatch for a Coastsweep cleanup of the Furlong Park in Salem!

As part of COASTSWEEP, volunteers are encouraged to help in the statewide effort to keep our coastline clean along the shore at Furlong Park in Salem Massachusetts. Trash collected will be measured and analyzed, and the data will be sent to Washington DC to aid the government in creating legislation to minimize trash in our oceans!
