Bring your young naturalist to the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary to enjoy an afternoon on the Ipswich River! The dog days of summer can be unpleasant, to say the least. Escape the heat with a relaxing paddle on the cool waters of the Ipswich River and enjoy some ice cream, too! We will take a short trip up to shady Perkins Island where we will enjoy some frozen treats and then take our time meandering downstream while enjoying the beauty of the surrounding marshes and forests.

Join us as we share a children's nature story before we explore the woods, fields, and wetlands of the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. Today: We'll read [amazon 0688175198 inline] by William T. George & Lindsay Barrett George, and then take a walk to Rockery Pond to see a beaver lodge, dam, beaver chews, and scent mounds. As a group, we will build our own lodge.
Join us in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere as we escape the heat and journey to a farm in England to meet Shaun the Sheep. From the creators of Wallace and Gromit, this series of short clips will delight the whole family. We'll also explore wool and make a sheep craft to take home!
