Come to the tenth annual Fairy Gnome Discovery Walk at Pettengill Farm. The gems of the event are the near 200 Fairy and Gnome Homes peppered throughout a 1 mile wooded path that leads to the salt marsh and back. Homes are created by very talented professionals, families, school children, and local businesses. We are excited to add the Art Stroll to this event. The Art Stroll welcomes artists from all over New England to showcase and vend their work.
Take part in a beloved Boston tradition! Of the thousands of flowering plants in the Arboretum, only one, the lilac, is singled out each year for a day-long celebration. Tours of the lilacs, dance performances, picnicking (allowed on this special day only), and family activities make for a memorable, family day.
The mission of the HomeGrown Market is to provide the Topsfield community with a series of family-friendly events that emphasize supporting local and offer the opportunity for Topsfield and surrounding North Shore farmers, gardeners, artisans, creators, performers, musicians, nonprofits, young entrepreneurs, and local businesses to showcase their product, and/or talents, in a welcoming and organized community-based marketing alternative.
The Beverly Farmers’ Market supports local agriculture while making healthy food available to all members of the Beverly community at affordable prices; the market promotes sustainable living practices and fosters community connections through our vendors, free activities and events. The Museum is free all day for Cape Ann residents* on the second Saturday of every month in 2025! The second Saturday of every month is free for Cape Ann families. Pre-registration and timed tickets are required.
Come to the Rowley Town Common to enjoy a celebration of farms and farming. In addition to the famers market, there will be working antique tractors will be on display for judging. Enjoy a live bluegrass music performance at the common's Gazebo by the Essex River Rounders from 10 am - noon.
Stop by Gloucester’s new weekly farmers market, the Backyard Growcery, managed by Backyard Growers. The Backyard Growcery is located at Burnham's Field, an urban park near Gloucester’s thriving waterfront, and features small-scale North Shore farmers, bakers, a seafood vendor, an artisanal pizza maker, and more, throughout the season.
Come enjoy beautiful ocean views as you run along the scenic coastline on Cape Ann and race towards our huge finish line arch! The Twin Lights Half Marathon offers a spectacular course with the seashore visible for much of the race's 13.1-mile route. Runners will also enjoy an up-close look at many of the sights that have deep roots in the nation's maritime history.
A gorgeous, fan-favorite variety of 100k tulips are scheduled to bloom in early May. Welcome spring with this multi-weekend festival featuring free live music, self-guided blooming orchard walks, outdoor hard cider bars, food trucks, fitness n' family activities and cut-your-tulips. General entrance is free but online tickets for tulip cutting is required. Walk-in tickets will not be sold upon arrival on the farm.
