Surround yourself in a world of pink this October and join the Good Witch of Salem for a Magical Children’s Tea Party at the Historic Hawthorne Hotel in Downtown Salem. Located in the Grand Ballroom, all attending will be captivated by the elegance and charm upon arrival. The Magical Tea Party will begin with photo opportunities offering a glimpse into the Good Witch’s home followed by Tea Party coloring and crafts.
The Trustees of Reservations invite you to tour the gardens at Long Hill Gardens in Beverly, Massachusetts to celebrate Autumn and Halloween! Long Hill is very excited to announce a special new event, Halloween on the Hill! Come explore our beautiful property as we transform Long Hill into a celebration of autumn and the Halloween season. Follow our seasonal-themed trail that will feature over 1,000 jack-o’-lanterns, hundreds of mums and pumpkins, elaborate Halloween sets, light displays, music, and more. This is the perfect Halloween event your family won’t want to miss!
Join Historic New England for Wicked Wednesdays! Get wicked at Phillips House as part of Haunted Happenings family-friendly events. Ticket includes historic games, fall crafts, and a family- themed tour of the house. This is a drop-in event. Tours are offered every half-hour. Last tour departs at 5:00 p.m.
There's nothing like October in Salem and the Salem Common Neighborhood Association is thrilled to host two weekends of our annual Kids Carnival on the Common including rides, face painting, and family fun! There is no admission fee to enter the carnival. Ticket purchase proceeds benefit the Salem Common Neighborhood Association.
Come join or watch this Salem tradition to kick off Haunted Happenings that is filled with pageantry, music, and the enthusiasm of thousands of Salem’s students from kindergarten to college. This year’s theme is “Upside Down and Inside Out”. Due to COVID, the performances, floats, vehicles and displays will be stationary, with attendees parading the route to view them all!
Come to Downtown Salem to enjoy outdoor shopping on a crisp early fall weekend. Shop for uniquely Salem items at over 100 vendor booths on the Salem Common. Entertainers, street performers and live music performances all add to the festive atmosphere. Wear a costume or come to just feel the anticipation of Halloween in the air! Hosted by the Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Kids come trick-or-treating with Mayor Driscoll. We will trick-or-treat up and down the pedestrian mall, through the shops at Witch City Mall and beyond. Trick-or-Treat Bags will be provided. Costumes are encouraged. Check salem.com for more information.
After your trick or treating is over, head over to Salem for the free fireworks show over the North River that will close out another great October of Halloween fun brought to you by Haunted Happenings!
Halloween is the night when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead thins and magicla things happen! Join Christian Day, Brian Cain, Sandra Mariah Wright, and Leanne Marrama with drumming by the Dragon Ritual Drummers as Witches from around the globe gather for the sacred and magical ritual of Halloween! This event is free and open to all who wish to attend with an open heart and a love for their dead. There is also no limit on the number of participants.
The Salem Food Truck Festival is back! Bigger and Better, this year the festival will feature 45 of the area's top food trucks! Held at the Salem Common in historic downtown Salem, Ma. Food Truck Festivals of America is bringing the ultimate food truck experience to Salem for a two-day festival that will feature some of the area's most popular food trucks dishing out fan favorites as well as dozens of regional and national craft breweries. We are excited to offer fellow food lovers the regions top food trucks, live music and family fun!
