Salem Witches' Magic Circle

Halloween is the night when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead thins and magicla things happen! Join Christian Day, Brian Cain, Sandra Mariah Wright, and Leanne Marrama with drumming by the Dragon Ritual Drummers as Witches from around the globe gather for the sacred and magical ritual of Halloween! This event is free and open to all who wish to attend with an open heart and a love for their dead. There is also no limit on the number of participants.
Wicked Wednesdays at the Phillips House

Join Historic New England for Wicked Wednesdays! Get wicked at Phillips House as part of Haunted Happenings family-friendly events. Ticket includes historic games, fall crafts, and a family- themed tour of the house. This is a drop-in event. Tours are offered every half-hour. Last tour departs at 5:00 p.m.
Halloween Finale Fireworks!

After your trick or treating is over, head over to Salem for the free fireworks show over the North River that will close out another great October of Halloween fun brought to you by Haunted Happenings!
Salem Mayor's Night Out

Mayor's Night Out in Salem is a night for Salem residents to enjoy the hospitality of their town with free admission to attractions, museums and free parking downtown! Please look for the “Mayor’s Night Out” sign on the door of participating businesses. There will be free parking in the Museum Place Mall garage after 4:00pm. All you need is a photo id to prove your residency and you'll be able to take advantage of special activities at participating businesses throughout the downtown area.
Lanterns in the Village

Start a new Halloween tradition for your family! Our historic village a-glow with jack o’ lanterns! Listen to ghost stories while sipping on hot cider or cocoa. Kids 3 and under free. 100% of proceeds benefit Collins Middle School in Salem. Spooky stories, jack-o-lanterns and fall fun!
Haunted Biz Baz Street Fair

Come to Downtown Salem to enjoy outdoor shopping on a crisp early fall weekend. Shop for uniquely Salem items at over 100 vendor booths on the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall, Hawthorne Boulevard and surrounding areas. Entertainers, street performers and live music performances all add to the festive atmosphere. Wear a costume or come to just feel the anticipation of Halloween in the air! Hosted by the Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Salem Zombie Walk

The Salem Zombiewalk has been an annual event for a number of years. This is a great family-friendly event of a genre that incorporates all aspects of life, or rather, undead that takes place in Halloweentown, USA during Halloween Season. Prior to the Zombiewalk, participants gather at Collins Cove Park for some field day activities, last minute costume tweaks and alterations, and of course to admire other lovers of the Zombie theme. Pets are welcome, so long as they are crowd friendly and well-behaved (and don't mind Zombies). Details are on the official flyer, please look for it on Facebook, and share the event. Fun activities start at 3:30pm with zombie kickball, parade at 4:30.
Haunted Happenings Grand Parade

Come join or watch this Salem tradition to kick off Haunted Happenings that is filled with pageantry, music, and the enthusiasm of thousands of Salem’s students from kindergarten to college. This year’s theme is "Movie Monsters". Parade begins at Shetland Park and ends at Salem Common.
