Essex River Day 2025 is CANCELED - No Rain Date! Essex River Day was created to celebrate one of our most valued resources - the Essex River. This simple idea has grown into an annual event to kick-off the start of summer! Head down to Memorial Park at 24 Martin Street next to Essex Town Hall on Saturday, June 17th from 5pm-9pm (Rain Date: Sunday, June 18th) for live music by Brick House, games by Ipswich Family YMCA, 5 Star Phresh Phood truck, brews from our own Great Marsh Brewery and a bonfire lit at dusk. Special thanks to Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and Essex Lions Club for their event support.
Manchester’s annual salute to America is a wonderful tradition, complete with stirring music, precision marching bands, imaginative home made floats, antique cars, and just about everything else that represents the pride and patriotism we all share for our country. Simply stated, Manchester’s Fourth of July Celebration is small town America at its very best!
The Annual Red, White & Blue Pancake Breakfast at Tuck's Point will feature live music, pony rides, a great breakfast and more at the beautiful seaside setting of Tuck's Point! There of course will be pancakes with all the fixings, eggs, bacon, coffee, pony rides and face painting for the kids, and musical entertainment! 50/50 Raffle to benefit the Manchester-Essex Rotary Club Scholarship fund will be drawn at 11:30AM. Take the free water taxi service between Tuck's Point and either Manchester Town Hall or Reid's Park to avoid the traffic, starting at 7:30 AM and running until 11:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased online at Manchester Essex Rotary website.
Maudslay State Park has created this program for their youngest crowd! The park interpreter will lead a weekly nature themed preschool aged program that involves a story time and outdoor exploration of Maudslay trails and gardens!

Dogtown is all of these things and more. But first, it is a place where proud people once lived and worked, at the center of Gloucester, for nearly 150 years – until it became “Dogtown” and died out.
Come to the Farmers Market for the annual native plant sale! There will be a variety of native plants from perennial flowering plants to native bushes and shrubs for you to grow in your yard to enhance your landscape while supporting the ecosystem.
The Marblehead Farmer's Market boasts 15+ local farms, and booths with an educational spin nutrition, vendors and farms selling homemade prepared goods and craft vendors that are switched up in a rotation basis week to week. Additionally there are entertainers and exhibits by environmentally conscious organizations and non-profits.
