Come enjoy the library, share some great food and leave knowing that the price of your meal will go to fund 2024 Emma in the Backyard Summer Programs. From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Golfers of all abilities come out for a best ball scramble in support of public education at the Annual NEF Open Golf Tournament. Dinner, auction and raffle follow a great day on the links. The Annual NEF Open will be at Wentworth By The Sea Country Club in Rye, NH. Ticket price includes box lunch and dinner.
Experience the age-old tradition of maple sugaring at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary! The warm days of late winter awaken the flow of sap in the maples resulting in sweet-smelling, billowing clouds of steam rising from the sugarhouse. On a naturalist-guided walk, learn how to identify a sugar maple, observe tapping and sap collection methods, watch the sap being boiled down in the sugarhouse, and get a sweet taste of the final product.
Salem Main Streets is pleased to announce the return of the Salem Winter Market!! A seasonal extension of the Salem Farmers’ Market, this year’s Salem Winter Market will take place inside the Old Town Hall located a 32 Derby Square, in Salem.
Join Chef Liz in this hands-on workshop. Participants will cook with Trustees Grown Meat and vegetables from our fields when in season, and other local farmers’ ingredients to create an exciting multi-course meal. These classes provide an opportunity for participants to increase their comfort in the kitchen through new knife skills, techniques, and flavor profiles. There will be equal parts cooking and eating, and class ends with a shared meal, so bring your appetite! BYOB.
