Shore Country Day School celebrated its 75th Anniversary and Head of School, Lawrence A. Griffin’s, 25th year with a Gala celebration on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Over 630 of the school’s current and past parents, faculty and staff, and alumni gathered for a surprise honoring of Griffin, of Hamilton, who has lead the institution for one third of its existence.
Shore Country Day School invites you to hear Dr. Marisa Silveri address her research on adolescent brain development and the effects of alcohol and drug use on brain function on Thursday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m. A nationally acclaimed Behavioral Neuroscientist, Dr. Silveri has been studying the adolescent brain for the past fifteen years and currently holds positions at Harvard Medical School, McLean Hospital, and BU School of Medicine.
Beverly Main Streets encourages volunteers to meet at the Beverly Common at 9am for the kickoff, sweep downtown till noon and return to Common for lunch. Help us sweep away the dust of winter and spruce up for spring! This is a great event for families, student groups, sports teams, Scouts and anyone else who wants to do a little community service. In 'Queen of the Sun', director Taggart Siegel explores the world of bees and looks for answers to the sudden crisis that is threatening bee populations around the planet. Lightning Soccer Camps is New England's premier Soccer camp and they will be offering programs this summer for two weeks only.
Project Adventure is offering PLAY, a summer day camp that blends games problem solving improvisation activities and challenge course activities into an innovative weeklong experience. PLAY is for anyone entering grades 5-8. PLAY will run Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, for 5 sessions beginning on June 28.
