Maritime Gloucester invites kids ages 5-10 to a vacation week session about some of the stranger creatures found in the ocean - part of a week full of educational sessions during April vacation! Although only 5% of oour ocean has been explored, some of what has been discovered has proven to be incredibly strange.

Historic Stage Fort Park along Gloucester Harbor will once again blossom into the colorful 42nd Annual Gloucester Waterfront Festival. A collection of over 175 Juried Artists and Craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations, live music, plus delicious ethnic foods. From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Put on your winter coat and visit the Cape Ann Museum during February School Vacation Week! The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, February 20 – Thursday, February 22. On Friday, February 23 the Museum will have free admission for all visitors thanks to generous support from the Highland Street Foundation’s Winter Camp Initiative.
On Second Saturdays, music students of Alexandra Grace Music Studio will join the Cape Ann Museum for the ‘Cape Ann Youth Musical Showcase’. Every month will have a different theme, and students will perform songs in a fun and creative evening of live music.

The Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation’s MLK Day event will feature Renée Graham, Boston Globe Associate editor and Columnist as the keynote speaker on Monday, January 15th.
