Sawyer Free Library has a fun filled Spring Egg Decorating craft session planned. Kids can decorate craft eggs here at the library to take home! We will paint, color, & decorate faux eggs (materials will be provided.) Registration is required. Register each child individually.
Gloucester Education Foundation is proud to host the 6th Power of Play Festival, a day of play for families and kids of all ages. Play is an important learning tool that promotes creative and innovative thinking. Maritime Gloucester has planned some interesting programs for kids during April Vacation 2024! The programs are geared towards learning about life in the sea, around it and on it! Four sessions are offered through the week for kids ages 5-10, with age-based groups for kids aged 5-7 in the morning and 8-10 in the afternoon. These sessions are part story, part presentation and part art or craft project. Kids will learn about sea life, coastal habitats and the food chain that supports us all!

Maritime Gloucester is hosting their annual Heritage Day in honor of the Gloucester Schooner Festival 2023. Step aboard a schooner, learn about traditional shipbuilding and fitting out, watch America’s oldest marine railway in action, or explore the unique biology that makes our oceans so amazing. Maritime Gloucester will be hosting a variety of local community organizations with an exciting array of demonstrations and interactive options for all ages.
From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Put on your winter coat and visit the Cape Ann Museum during February School Vacation Week! The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, February 20 – Thursday, February 22. On Friday, February 23 the Museum will have free admission for all visitors thanks to generous support from the Highland Street Foundation’s Winter Camp Initiative.
On Second Saturdays, music students of Alexandra Grace Music Studio will join the Cape Ann Museum for the ‘Cape Ann Youth Musical Showcase’. Every month will have a different theme, and students will perform songs in a fun and creative evening of live music.
