Sense of Wonder Walk for Families: Ponding
Each 'Sense of Wonder' outing will begin with a short introduction indoors, and then we will go outside for a walk. Topics for each walk are listed below, but we will stop and investigate anything that crosses our path. Join us for one or both of these spring programs.
The Cat in the Hat at Danvers Library
Join us for a special visit from Carole Finn-Weidman as she performs Dr Seuss’ The Cat In The Hat, in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday! There will be refreshments and participantsa will make a craft too!
Salem Heritage Days at the Seven Gables
Salem Heritage Days offer a wonderful way for Salem residents and visitors to connect with Salem’s history, art, and cultural scene. House of Seven Gables invites families to learn about sailing the high seas with a variety of family-friendly and hands-on activities. The Family Navigation Game is offered daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Living History Labs hands-on history experience will take place daily from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Tony Toledo: Winter Tales
You do not have access to view this node invites families and children to a story telling session with Tony Toledo! Come hear a collection of Winter tales, and there might even be a secret game or two! For kids in grades K-5.
Tuesday Story Hour at Waldorf School at Moraine Farm
Tuesday Story Hour at the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is a great opportunity to meet new friends, play outside, relax indoors listening to a story, visit our school and experience the Waldorf environment. Story hour includes outdoor play in our playground and a story and/or puppet show.
Our story hour experience will give you a small window into a Waldorf education.
Nature's Harvest Free-for-All!
Nature's riches abound during this festive time of year. Sample delicious homemade treats made with local beach plums and cranberries. Inhale the aroma of white pine tea or a bayberry candle. Boldly bite into a seaweed salad or nibble on some pickleweed.
Big Ryan's Tall Tales
Newbury Town Library invites kids for a special performance - BIG RYAN'S TALL TALES! Big Ryan delivers his own original stories, a bit of puppet play and some music and movement, and a whole lot of fun! This show is great for PreK-5th grade, but siblings of other ages are of course welcome. Big Ryan has been a hit at libraries all over the map, and we're so excited to be able to bring him to the Newbury Town Library for you to see. Native American History Month at Sawyer Free
