Join the park interpreter on a walk to see the unique stone bridges of the former Moseley Family Estate. Learn about their construction and historical use, plus interesting stories about the family and their property.
Maudslay State Park has created this program for their youngest crowd! For the young set that loves nature, the park interpreter will lead a three-part preschool aged program that includes a story, craft & walk that involves outdoor exploration. A different nature topic each week so come every week!

The Newbuyrport Yankee Homecoming Bed Race is an annual event in Newburyport hosted by the Lions Club of Newburyport. The race is a ¼ mile team sprint down Federal Street to the finish line. Each team consists of 3 pushers, 2 pullers and a 'sleeper', and the goal is to get to the finish line with the bed and sleeper in the fastest time! This is a fun event for the community and always draws a big crowd. Come cheer on your favorite team, or just watch the fun! Funds raised will go to Lions Club charities.
Get ready for Paint Night excitement at the historic Salisbury Beach Pavilion, home to the beautifully preserved antique Looff-Mangels carousel. Limited tickets are available for this event, so be sure to grab yours soon! Your ticket includes all supplies and instruction. Each canvas has a pre-drawn stencil, perfect for artists of all ages and skill levels. Our canvas is 11”x14”, and all colors of paint will be available, allowing for endless creative possibilities. The Trustees of Reservations invite you to join our expert guides for a tour around Long Hill’s stunning Sedgwick Gardens and learn more about the special plants it’s most known for. In addition to learning about what plants are in bloom as well as the rare and unique species in our collection, you’ll hear how the gardens were developed by the fascinating Sedgwick family.
We are going to all play many copies of Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart at once (some on the Switch, some on the N64s provided), each player getting their name on a raffle ticket for every five minute round they win (SSB) or every 50cc course they win (MK). One prize for the most effectively lethal player (to be determined by Teen Librarian Katy's judgement of skill, enthusiasm, and growth) and one prize for the winner of the raffle.
Ipswich Public Library invites kids and families to kick off the Summer Reading program with the Plum Island Pans - a local steel drum band! The band originates from Zach Field Drums & Music in Newburyport. The 4-piece band consists of a lead steel drum, double second steel drums, 6 can bass and a drum set. Plum Island Pans has even performed at Fenway Park for The Boston Red Sox. For all ages! The program is free and no registration is required.

Ryan will teach you how to create a wire tree in any style you want on an adult closed fist sized rock you provide during this two hour class! Ticket includes all of the tools and materials needed for you to create your own wire tree sculpture!
