Zombie Dancers wanted for a performance of Michael Jackson 'Thriller' in Salem!

The Talent Conquest TV Show will be producing the ZOMBIE DANCE "Thriller" Re Enactment as part of the B&S Fitness Devil's Chase 6.66 Runners on Saturday 10/26/11. This is a benefit for the Plummer Home for Boys in Salem, MA. Debra Crosby will MC the ZOMBIE DANCE reenactment of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" to give the Devil's Chase 6.66 runners a little entertainment.

Having taught both children and adults for the past 13 years, I have learned that I can easily use my authority to get a student to make short term changes in behavior, however, only my influence will make them want to institute these changes for the long term. These long term changes are going to help the student feel successful, not only in their training, but also in their life outside of the school.

The Story of 'Inland' - Meet the Author

Sawyer Free Library invites you to a reading from [amazon 978-0945980926 inline] by the author Lisa Capone. Dale Brown of the Whale Center of New England will be there as part of the presentation. Discuss this true story of a North Atlantic Humpback whale's autumn spent close to shore in Salem Sound, the people that interacted with her and her journey south that ended in her death off of the Virginia coast.  Inland's skeleton is now on display at the Whale Center of New England, and has been used as a teaching aid in whale anatomy for thousands of visitors!

Powow River Blessing

The Powow River Blessing is not just a ceremony, it's a festival!

The annual Powow River sunset blessing, is a long tradition to offer positive intentions and blessings to the Powow River. Families who attend the autumn equinox event find many interesting activities. This is a Trails and Sails special program! Enjoy one stunning view after the next as we explore the Crane Wildlife Refuge, an island studded patchwork of salt marsh and tidal creeks located in Essex Bay.
