The Beverly High School Music Department and Stage Right proudly present Shrek the Musical! Based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, Shrek the Musical brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to life on stage at the Beverly Higfh School Auditorium.
We know how important it is to be "green," but how do we apply that to the way we live on the New England coast? Come to Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats for a full day of activities all about ocean creatures like whales, sea turtles and fish! We’ll learn about ocean sustainability and seashore conservation with fun, informative games like mini sporting events, quiz competitions, model building, and art projects for all ages!
March is the time for sugaring in New England. Appleton keeps this very special tradition alive by tapping the farms beautiful maple trees and producing wood-fired, small-batch syrup. The first part of the workshop will include a leisurely walk around the farmstead to show how sap is harvested and collected. The tour will wrap up at our sugar shack so you can see (and smell!) the transformation of sap to syrup. You'll gather in the farm kitchen for the second part of the workshop, where chef Carolyn Grieco will teach how to make some of the most delectable maple syrup recipes. Workshop ends with a generous sampling of all our delicious maple dishes!
The Kenny Academy of Irish Dance in Beverly will be offering FREE trial classes in honor of Saint Patrick's Day! Come learn a reel and a jig on Tuesday, March 8th or Thursday March 10th and experience a piece of Irish culture with instructors, Irish husband and wife team Michael and Rose Kenny.

The Newbury Town Library invites teens to their Friday Flicks Series! We're showing movies in the Community Room after school on the 3rd Friday of each month at 2:45pm, just for teens. Popcorn and water will be served. Movies will be rated PG or PG-13. Register for North Shore’s 37th Annual Good Friday Walk and help needy families in the North Shore. This year, funds are needed more than ever and any walker who raises at least $20 will be given a commemorative walk t – shirt. The 10.5 mile walk will start at St. John the Evangelist School and proceed to the Baptist Church in Downtown Beverly, then continue on to the Church in the Cove and St. Margaret’s Church in Beverly Farms. Walkers will follow the same route back to St. John’s.

What makes painting different from other art forms? Find out! Wear some old clothes and try painting at easels the museum will set up in Burnham Hall. Simple instructions, challenges, and materials will be provided.
We decided to check out the Appleton Farms Sugar Shack recently and loved the whole experience! This new operation is taking advantage of the many maples that line the trails and dirt roads that criss-cross the farm, and they're boiling down as much as they can so that eventually there will be a small supply of pure maple syrup available at the farm store!
Come to the Dolan Performing Arts Center for a speical FREE screening of 'Most Likely to Succeed', a film about modern education and paving a way for students to thrive in the world of the future. The film inspires its audiences with a sense of purpose and possibility, and is bringing school communities together in re-imagining what students and teachers are capable of doing. After seeing this film, you’ll never look at school the same way again. A panel discussion will follow the film.
