For two decades, Boston Children’s Chorus has represented our city—reflecting and celebrating its diversity and raising voices for social change. In the 200th anniversary of Boston’s incorporation as a city, BCC singers celebrate our city’s history of civil rights activism and draw attention to the work still ahead of us. While exploring an inequitable past and the generational impact of these injustices on the Boston we live in today, BCC singers celebrate our 20th anniversary by recommitting to our core mission—inspiring inquiry, cultivating empathy, and becoming the future generation of Boston leaders.

Internationally acclaimed artist Li Liu will dazzle us with Chinese acrobatics including plate spinning, hand balancing, ribbon twirling, and more! Families of all ages are invited to experience this amazing performance that will take place at the Hamilton-Wenham Recreation Dept. Gymnasium, adjacent to the library.

From the moment that Debbie and Friends launch into the original song, “I’m Glad You’re Here,” the children in the crowd understand their role: to jump up and down participate. As the lyrics suggest, “You’re part of the show.” From that high-energy opener to the ecstatic ending, the pacing of a Debbie and Friends show perfectly aligns with the attention spans of their audience. They’ll rock out and get the kids dancing in a theatre-sized conga line, and then they’ll bring them down gently to relax and engage in more attentive ways. Drawing heavily from fairytales that kids will already be familiar with, Debbie presents enough lyrical updates to keep these stories fresh, and to keep everybody tuned in and laughing, including the parents!  

Wenham Museum has a special New Year's Eve celebration planned just for kids and families! Join us at the Wenham Museum for our annual New Year’s Eve Countdown to Midnight for families. We will have lot of fun family activities with a Ginger-ale Toast at 12 Noon. Reservations are highly recommended. We invite you to visit the museum galleries after the party. Admission to the galleries is included with your ticket. Note:  The museum is open only for this special program on December 31st!
