Safe Boating Class at Ipswich Town Hall

The Massachusetts Environmental Police will be holding a Safe boating course in Ipswich at Town Hall

U.S. Coast Guard & Massachusetts State Approved Boating Safety Course - "Boat America". This is THE course to get you educated, safe, and ready for proper vessel operation as well as covering the lawful requirements as a boater. We're proud to present this nationally recognized boating safety course, titled "Boat America".

Essex Safe Boating Class

The Essex Police Dapartment will be holding a Safe boating course in  Essex Massachusetts

--canceled---Boating safety course provides people ages 12+ the knowledge needed to complete MA Boating Certification from MA Enviornmental Police. Boat America is a boating certificate class that offers an in-depth and interesting boating safety course, and provides the knowledge needed to obtain a boating certificate which is mandatory in NH and other states.

Appleton Farm's Kids in Farmer for a Day program during april Vacation in Ipswich Massachusetts

In the spring, the farmers at Appleton are busy planting vegetables and caring for the new life on the farm. There is no better place to spend spring farm days than in exploring in the fields & forests and learning to love the outdoors in all seasons! This program is for kids who are looking to make friends, explore the farm, and learn about life in New England in spring. Every day will include an outdoor adventure of hiking, a theme-based craft, a farm learning activity, and other farm explorations.

Chess Club at Georgetown Library is and informal gathering where students can improve by playing each other.

The Chess Club at the library will be an informal gathering of students interested in playing chess with others.  A knowledge of how to play chess is recommended. Students in 3rd – 6th grade are invited to sign up.  The chess boards and pieces will be provided. No instruction will be available at this event. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Georgetown Library.

Join Chef Liz Walkowicz in this lively, hands-on cooking class in the Kitchen at the Trustees of Reservations' Appleton Farms in Ipswich Massachusetts.

Join chef Liz Walcowicz in this lively, hands-on cooking class. Participants will learn how to utilize root vegetables from the farm and other local farmers to create an exciting multi-course meal. The menu changes seasonally and each class will provide an opportunity for participants to increase their comfort in the kitchen through new knife skills, techniques and flavor profiles. There will be equal parts cooking and eating, and class ends with a shared meal, so bring your appetite!

Follow along step-by-step to create a magical star-filled night sky with silhouettes of a hillside and trees. It's amazing what you can create with four colors and some simple brush techniques! Eagle Festival Field Trips

Families are invited to take a field trip with Joppa Flats naturalists to search for Bald Eagles in the Newburyport area

Bald Eagles are our goal as we search the skies and trees near the mouth of the Merrimack River on Eagle Festival Saturday. Choose among eight opportunities to join us to observe the surprises among all our winter-visiting birds, including many species of raptors, ducks, and more. Families with children ages 8 and above are welcome. Prices for these hour-and-a-half programs are deeply discounted, thanks to the generosity of our Eagle Festival sponsors, Boston Partners Financial Group and Newburyport Bank.
