This free, hands-on, community art experience is primarily geared toward children under 10 years of age and children must be accompanied by an adult. The line-up of projects this year include play-dough making, decorative wands, creating musical instruments, and Doodle Top drawing which captures a “playful art” theme for a celebration packed with fun.
Young in Age or Young at Heart - All ages welcomed to Art on The Avenue located on Atlantic Avenue part of the Marblehead Festival of Arts. Paint your own pottery with Hestia Creations, make jewelry with EOS studio, learn about plants from Marblehead Garden Center or connecting with mini horses. Face painting and other arts booths will be available up and down Atlantic Avenue. Enjoy the arts, shopping, and dining in another one of our favorite parts of town!

And here's the best part – everyone who crosses that finish line will snag a sweet custom commemorative finisher’s medal! Music Together® is a research-based music & movement program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grown-ups who love them. Music Together® of Salem classes make it easy for parents/primary caregivers to play a crucial role in activating their child's music development.
Classes are 45 minutes long and include rhythmic games, dance, and instrument play and are age & developmentally appropriate for the children while easy and fun for the caregivers, regardless of their musical ability.

Marblehead's Memorial Day activities start at at Old Town House, starting at 8 a.m. An hour later at 9 a.m., the main parade will begin at Pleasant Street, continuing on to Memorial Park before turning left on Spring to Elm Street. The parade will then take a left off of Elm Street to Cressey, and merge onto Green, taking a left on Turner Road before concluding at Waterside Cemetery.

Stop by the Sail Away Book Shop located in the gym space at Abbot Public Library's interim location during sale hours. All books in the shop will be on sale, and the Friends will be holding a raffle. Abbot Public Library hosts a movie for teens during the Winter Holidays! This showing features "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves" (PG-13) starring Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Rege-Jean Page at 2:30 pm. Plot: A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.
Abbot Public Library will feature the fantasy musical film following the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl's novel. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he eventually became driven to enter the chocolate industry. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl's novel. This movie is suggested for children ages 6 and up.
