The Friends of Veasey Memorial Park host their annual winter festival! Come for an afternoon of Winter fun for families including hot cocoa, the Harvard Alpacha Ranch alpacas , fun activities and more! Email Claire Walsh for questions or to volunteer.
Walk the trails to see the handcrafted houses at this year’s enchanted Fairy House Festival. Cast your People’s Choice Award vote for your favorite Fairy House. Stay awhile for magical fun, arts and crafts, food, raffles, live music, and more. Rain or shine. Anyone is welcome to submit a house. Donations collected at the Festival are reinvested back into the Park.
Everyone is welcome at this Community Summer Solstice Celebration! Collaborate with us on a community craft, enjoy a nature hike around the property together, and finish off the evening with a bonfire by the lake to celebrate the longest day of the year!
Create colorful corn, pinecone turkeys, and more at Veasey Park! A great way to decorate your Thanksgiving table. Great for ages 3 and up!
All supplies will be included. Tickets are $10 per family. Register and pay online or at the door.
Poisonous Plants, Endangered Insects, and Beneficial Bombs! Huh?!
When are bombs beneficial? How can toxic plants actually help and support an endangered species? Join us to learn more about Monarchs and Milkweed, make native milkweed seed bombs, and, while they dry, craft Butterfly Suncatchers. Take the suncatchers home or help us adorn Veasey's enclosed porch! When the seed bombs are dry, you can take them home or toss them into the field at Veasey Park.
Drop-in during one of our sessions! $10 / family will include everything you need! Ages 3 & up. Caregivers are responsible for children during activity, and may need to help children with some of the steps. Online ticket sales will end a day before the scheduled class. If you are unable to make it to the event, and would like a take home kit, please get in touch!
Join the Friends of Veasey and Groveland Garden Club for an all ages informational nature walk to learn about the native species at Veasey Park. Followed by a showing of Fern Gully in our Great Hall.
Hunter's Haven Farm offers week long programs in hunt seat riding lessons taught by qualified, licensed instructors. We keep our classes limited to ensure individual attention. Our horses and ponies are gentle, well-trained and accustomed to being handled and ridden by children of all ages. Each week concludes with a horse show.
Start the New Year off with some good tips about saving and spending money! Justin Otto, from TD Bank of Groveland, will be at the Langley-Adams Library for a fun class on managing money for kids. It's never too soon to start! Space is limited, please register!
