Groveland Rocks and the Friends of Veasey Memorial Park host their annual winter festival! Come for an afternoon of Winter fun with a live animal demonstration by Curious Creatures and storytelling sessions by Movers and Shakers' Miss Cheryl. Between sessions there will be fun Winter crafts with a special craft provided by Groveland Rocks!
Come learn about the birds and nature found on Veasey Park's 48 acres of conservation land. Inside we will have nature themed crafts, hands on exploration, and a story time. Learn how to make nature fun for kids and grown-ups alike. Recommended for all ages. After take a self-guided nature walk on our marked trails to see what you can find. We will provide nature bingo sheets and trail maps.
This guided tour will explore some of Groveland's 47 acres of conservation land, highlighting Veasey Park's Nesting Box Program. We will explore and compare inhabitants including bluebirds, tree swallows, purple martins, tufted tit mouse and bobolinks. This serene walk is a perfect place for observing and learning about our local birds and their natural environment. Binoculars suggested. Go outdoors!
Hunter's Haven Farm offers week long programs in hunt seat riding lessons taught by qualified, licensed instructors. We keep our classes limited to ensure individual attention. Our horses and ponies are gentle, well-trained and accustomed to being handled and ridden by children of all ages. Each week concludes with a horse show.
Start the New Year off with some good tips about saving and spending money! Justin Otto, from TD Bank of Groveland, will be at the Langley-Adams Library for a fun class on managing money for kids. It's never too soon to start! Space is limited, please register!
