Bring your toddler to Cape Ann Museum on the second Thursday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for Young at Art, a gallery-based storytime! Recommended for children ages 4 and younger with an adult. This drop-in program is free for members or with Museum admission. On this enchanted fairy holiday, it is traditional in some cultures to leave gifts or offerings for the fairies. Join us as we venture into the forest to create fairy houses. We will celebrate their completion with a solstice story and s'mores.

Join The Trustees and ReVision Energy this spring afternoon to get creative in The Stevens-Coolidge Place gardens. Offering kid-friendly garden experiences in 30 minute intervals, participants will enjoy viewing what spring has sprung with a knowledgeable guide as they meander through the gardens. Each tour will end with participants using the elements of the garden to create solar-powered art. We’ll harness the power of the sun using solar paper and water to create a nature-inspired piece of art. While your new creation dries, take time for a picnic or enjoy a friendly game of giant Jenga or corn hole on the lawn.
Brian Murphy is a self-taught artist who started Totally Wired Sculpture in 2002. His work can be seen as lighthearted line drawings in the medium of steel wire. The goal of each piece is to create a kinetic movement from the tension in the wire so that the figures seem to dance or sway on their own and appear enlivened! Come to this demonstration and learn how to make your own! No experience necessary an all supplies with be supplied. Please register at the library.

Peabody Essex Museum celebrates the world of wool and the products that are created from this raw material in a weekend-long festival! There have been many uses for wool throughout history and across cultures dating back as far as 6000 B.C.E. Wool is made from the hair or fleece of certain animals such as sheep, goats, llamas - and even rabbits! Come explore where wool comes from as part of PEM's ongoing Art Materials and Creative Experience program.
