The Highland Street Foundation invites Massachusetts residents and tourists to visit designated cultural attractions every Friday this summer with free admission. 10 Fridays through to August 31 during which admission will be waived at 100 different museums and attractions across the state. You don't need to register or obtain a ticket. Just show up and enjoy!
You're invited to Sandy Point State Reservation to celebrate World Shorebird Day. Come see a shorebird up close and personal. Every year, tens of thousands of shorebirds stop over at Parker River to eat and rest on their journey from the Arctic to South America. Refuge biologists are studying how and where these birds migrate. Come learn more about this research and these amazing birds up close. Meet at the Bill Forward Blind. Docents will escort visitors to the banding site on a rotating basis.
Enjoy a beautiful night on at the ocean's edge at the Plum Island Beach parking lot converted into a 'Drive-in'. Grab your friends or family, jump in the car and head over to Plum Island for a weekend of drive-in movies to kick off this summer! All proceeds to benefit the Newburyport Youth Services. Ready, set, paint! Drop by the activity center for art supplies and enjoy painting inside or outside the Museum. Offered on Wednesdays in July and August starting July 11. No registration required. Free for members or with Museum admission.
Wenham will be celebrating its 375th Anniversary with a Parade and Community Day on Saturday, September 8th. The Parade will kick off at the Buker School at 10:00 am and conclude around 11:30 am at Pingree Park. At the park, residents, family, and friends can enjoy food, musical performances, kids games, and inflatables, a Wenham Police vs. Fire Softball game, and join the 375th Anniversary Community in a "Happy Birthday" Wenham drone photo.
For the first time, the Great House at Castle Hill is open for tours on Labor Day. Grab the family and take the Guest of the Cranes tour on the hour and our roof tour, Cupola with a View, at 11:30 AM and 1:30PM. Unique gifts and food options are available at our gift shop and Grab and Go cafe with 10% off for Trustees members. Last tour of the day is at 3PM.

This time around we’ll be following the (mis)adventures of Jack and friends as they take the path much less traveled by, and learn some valuable lessons along the way…!!! Edward Speck and Josh Shack have planned another silly, playful Spring Panto that's full of surprises. Follow the Theater in the Open flags from the Maudslay parking lot. Allow ten minutes to stroll to the site and $5 for parking ($6 for out of state vehicles).
