The Friends of the Newbury Town Library invite you to our annual Harvest Fest. Please join us for a fun day out with your family and support our library on Saturday, October 13 from 10am to 2pm at NTL. Here’s what’s happening this year:
APL hosts a fun afternoon for 5th-7th graders to come discuss books and eat some pizza! Please register so we know how much pizza to get from Flatbread! A lively, fun program!
Circles, shapes, and pie! Enjoy a story & a treat with us. Designed for ages 2 and up. No registration necessary.
Rumor is that some dinosaur eggs have made their way into the Children’s Room! Join us in hunting them down! Then stick around for a story & craft. No registration is required. All ages are welcome to join us, but the hunt and craft are suitable for ages 3+
Danvers Library kicks off National Poetry Month with a poetry open mic for teens. From slam poetry to sonnets, all poetry is welcome! Please register if you would like to read a poem by emailing jsantomauro@noblenet.org. There may be time at the end for poets who didn't register to read. Presented with National English Honors Society at Danvers High School. If you are attending but not reading, no need to register.
Kids are invited to the Rockport Public Library to learn about owls by dissecting their pellets! Great for ages 5 and up.
The Chess Club at the library will be an informal gathering of students interested in playing chess with others. A knowledge of how to play chess is recommended. Students in 3rd – 6th grade are invited to sign up. The chess boards and pieces will be provided. No instruction will be available at this event. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Georgetown Library.
Children in grades 1-3 are invited to explore painting materials and styles. The emphasis will be on having fun with the process, and painting experience is not required. All materials will be provided. Bring an old shirt or t-shirt to protect your clothes! Participation is limited to eight, so registration is required. Please call the Children’s Room at 781-631-1481
