Sawyer Free Library invites families to join us in Children's Services at Sawyer Free Library for a drop-in STEM activity celebrating the amazing women (both past and present) who make space exploration possible. We'll be making mini-straw rockets!
It's time for backyard birds to head south for the winter. Joppa Flats Education Center want to give them a proper send-off with a fun, free family event that features bird banding demonstrations, interactive games about bird migration, and lots of table-top science including bird-call recall, bird identification, shorebird feeding challenges, and a mystery bird nest challenge!
CFCE of the North Shore and Salem Sound Coastwatch host STEM programs for local families. Join CFCE for a series of STEM programs for kids ages 4 and up! CFCE of the North Shore is funded by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care awarded to Peabody Public Schools.
New this spring, the Trustee's popular Afternoon Adventures program now has a drop-in option on Wednesdays! Bring a friend, pick and choose the days you’d like to attend, or try it out for the first time. This 2.5-hour drop-off program on Wednesday afternoons provides your child with immersive, farm-based play and chores that foster social-emotional learning, wellbeing, and a love of nature. Skilled educators with a flair for fun and a knack for outdoor skills supervise your young farmers as they explore the barnyard, garden, and trails. This entirely-outdoors program uses our historic Carriage Barn (where the goats live!) for shelter in severe weather.
Join Ms. Katie of Early Childhood Partners to enjoy a story and fun activities that explore science, technology, engineering, art & math (STEAM). Designed for children ages 2-8 years and their caregiver, pre-registration is required, space is limited. This class will be held on Thursdays at 3:30 -4:30 (March 4-March 18). It will be in person at the Hamilton-Wenham Public Library Children's Program Room. Participants will be asked to wear a mask.
Kids in Grades 4, 5 & 6 are invited to come learn about 3d printing at the library. Learn the basics of 3D modeling, create a design and print a keychain that you can take home! Register now for this special program. SPACES ARE LIMITED and sign up is required.
After School STEM in Nature is a weekly after school drop-off program on early release Thursdays for elementary-aged children (grades 1-5). Drop-off for the program is between 2:15-2:30 and pick-up between 4:15-4:30 at Castle Hill (290 Argilla Road).

Join us during school break for a special half-day drop-off program for children ages 7-14, full of outdoor adventure, hands-on STEM activities, games, and crafts! Come for one day or all week!
Interested in building a website or cool app? Want to work as a team and build a project you care about? Join our new Girls Who Code Club. This club is free for teens in grades 6-12. The Acera School is excited to host our first math festival! Kids in grades 2-5 can enjoy a morning full of math activities designed to inspire creative reasoning and collaborative problem-solving. Students and parents will work together at various problem-solving stations, exploring rich and beautiful mathematical ideas.
