Wingmasters Presents "The World of Owls"

Newburyport Public Library will host Jim Parks of  Wingmasters for his 'World of Owls' presentation!  Jim will be teaching children about magnificent owls and how they use their specialized powers of sight, hearing, and flight to survive in the wild. A variety of live owls will be at the show. Entering grades 1 - 6; for the safety of the owls NO younger siblings will allowed at this event.

Special programs, at 2:00 and 2:45 will include a reading of Crustacean Vacation by the author, art activities led by the illustrator, a question and answer period, book signing, and more. There will even be a chance to take a photograph of yourself as an octopus lifeguard, one of the characters from the book.

Hamilton Police Release Sketch of Possible Abductor

Hamilton police are looking to question this man about an attempted abduction.

The Hamilton Massachusetts Police Department is actively investigating a reported attempted abduction that occurred in the Town of Hamilton on the afternoon of May 7, 2012. The victim reported that a white van with possible blue markings on it pulled alongside the victim and motioned for the victim to come over. The victim ran into the woods and then returned home and reported the incident . The attached composite sketch was created by a police officer from information provided by the victim describing the operator of the van.

Lego Sculpture Exhibit Entries Now being Registered

Entries are now being accepted for the LEGO Sculpture Exhibit at Wenham Museum

Wenham Museum is planning a LEGO exhibition in September and they want to show off your LEGO sculpture! Only 63 entires will be accepted and shown on a first come first serve basis, so act now and enter early to ensure yourself a spot.  There's some incredible art being created with LEGO, so if you have the artistic ability to pull off a sculpture made entirely out of LEGO, share it with your community!
