Paul Hogg, the Newburyport Harbormaster, and Maren Olsen, Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries Angler Education Program to put on a kids fishing clinic in May. The maximum number is 35 kids to keep it manageable. A parent/guardian is required to be there with their child(ren) and to reserve a spot, they must fill out the required registration form (attached).

There’s something almost magical about a Farmers Market…the atmosphere, the anticipation of seeing which delicious and nutritious foods are available, and the promise of whipping up an amazing farm-fresh meal when you get home. Seasonal fruits and veggies as well as specialty foods such as breads, cheese and pasta are often available at area markets. You can create simple meals rich in flavor like the one-pot veggie pasta recipe below.

Your family loves spending time at the beach at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, so do many wildlife families! Come join refuge staff and volunteers to learn who else makes the refuge beach their home, and all the shoreline treasures that help support their food, water, shelter needs. This is a drop-in program. Come for 15 minutes or a few hours. Kids and families will play games, make crafts, and learn about wildlife and beach habitats using discovery kits. Earn prizes. Look for our tent on the beach at Lot #1. NO preregistration for this program.
