Greater Newburyport Ovarian Cancer Awarness GNOCA will host the annual Lantern Festival.

Greater Newburyport Ovarian Cancer Awarness GNOCA will host the annual Lantern Festival at Downtown Newburyport. In the Asian tradition, we will remember families & friends & make wishes for the future. Come decorate, light, & float lanterns at dusk.

Money raised at this annual fundraiser goes to support local women who are currently undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer and funding for ovarian cancer research & education & awareness.

  • Bring a picnic supper, chair or blanket & a FLASHLIGHT!
  • Enjoy live performances.
  • Decorate your lantern with a special message
  • Calligraphers and decorating materials will be available

The Event is Free with a Suggested Donation of $10 per Lantern. Lanterns can be purchased at the event and there are lots of markers and stencils to help decorate lanterns.

Lanterns can also be purchased in advance at Greetings By Design: 6 Market Square, Newburyport, MA. 978-225-6700.

Parking near this event is limited, so please arrive early to find a parking space nearby.
Downtown Newburyport has several Public Parking Lots within a 5 – 10 minute walk.
Biking or Carpooling is a great idea too.
