Enjoy a biring excursion on the Crane Estate in Ipswich Massachusetts!

Join birding expert and former Crane Beach Ranger, Dave Williams, on a walk through the woodlands and fields of the Crane Estate to talk about birds. If you have never been birding before, Dave will teach you how to use binoculars to watch birds and pick out characteristics that will help you identify what species you see. If you’re a seasoned pro, bring your bird list and keep an eye out for spring migrants! If you’re not into birds (yet), come for a pleasant morning stroll. There’s something for everyone on this walk!

Camp Invention will host a session in Ipswich Massachusetts for the week of August 8-12, 2016 from 9am-3:30pm. Camp Invention programs have encouraged nearly two million curious minds to explore, create and invent. Kids in the Kitchen Afternoon Cooking Series at Appleton Farms in Ipswich Massachusetts!

Appleton farms is launching a NEW afterschool cooking class for kids ages 8-12. Do you have a future chef on your hands or kid that loves taste testing with new recipes? We will get our hands dirty both out on the farm and in the kitchen! Each week we will use locally sourced ingredients, some of which we may harvest ourselves, to craft 2 delicious recipes. We will discuss topics like seasonality, following recipes, proper measuring and knife skills. Cooking experience is certainly not required, but a love off food is recommended!
