Join Amesbury Public Library for an interactive storytime outdoors with stories, songs, actions, and fun! We'll end with stations around for kids and adults to explore. Storytimes are great ways to build literacy skills and create learning experiences as well as a great social event. Younger siblings are welcome, but please bring children who are in our age range for this program.
Come experiment with mixed media and stenciling based on the natural phenomenon of fractals. A fractal is a pattern in nature that repeats at different scales. If you look closely at nature, you’ll see fractals in everything from snowflakes and seashells to broccoli and branching lightning bolts!
Celebrate the arrival of springtime with this exciting, family-friendly drop-in art project! Take inspiration from all the new blooms in the garden and craft your very own flower. Feel free to arrive anytime between 10AM and 1PM to participate.
Celebrate with art, conversation, and drop-in crafts for children and adults! This is the biggest holiday of the year for IRWA, and we’re ready to celebrate. Join us to decorate fish, make cardboard river-themed creature costumes (shad? herring? stickleback? turtles? which one is your favorite?), and more! We’re making costumes so that next week, on April 29th, we can parade down Main Street to the riverwalk in our creations. Ipswich’s own Monarch Gardener will be donating native seeds that pollinators love so you can help our local pollinators thrive!
Cape Ann Art Haven hosts some great art activities for the family during April vacation week. At the Riverside Community Center on corner of Veterans Way and Patriots Circle, we will have all the supplies for a family to create art together! This is not a drop off event. Please wear appropriate clothing for sometimes messy art!
Come on down and see what you can build with Lego! Can you make a character from your favorite book? Or a scene from it? There will be bins of Lego out to play with all morning and all ages are welcome to come in (we encourage families to build together!) Registration is not required.
Kids will have a great time at the Hats Off to You! session at Wenham Museum! Take a tour of the 'Crowning Glory' exhibit then make a paper hat, listen to hat stories, play games and march in a kid's parade with your own creation!
Join us for story time, light refreshments and children's art activities as we celebrate the work of children's book Author/Illustrator Frances Wosmek. The program is generously sponsored by the Goldhirsh Foundation and is free and open to the public.
Wenham Museum invites you to come in costume, as a monster, dragon or dinosaur and hear frightfully fun stories, create monster print art and play silly monster games. Explore Wenham Museum’s spring exhibits: 'Draw Me a Story: Paper Monsters' with Ed and Rebecca Emberley a display of lively monster art and 'Pop Goes the Book!' an exhibit of engaging pop-up books. All Ages.
