Dungeons and Dragons for Tweens at the Public Library in Amesbury Massachusetts

Come play in a Dungeons and Dragons ongoing campaign! You'll create your own characters and build the story session to session. Come if you're a beginner or if you know the rules. All are welcome!  Registration is required and is for all 7 weeks. The sessions take place every other Wednesday for 2 hours.

Youth Umpire Training for Teens

Beverly Recreation Department in Massachusetts is hosting baseball/softball umpire training for teens

BevRec invites teens to learn the basics necessary to umpire Little League and Girls Softball games. Open to anyone who will be 13 years old by March 28th. Training includes rules of the game, on-field situations and umpiring mechanics for youth games. All participants receive a rule book.

TOHP Burnham Public Library hosts Phonemic Friends, an interactive pre-literacy program for caregivers with children.  Best for ages 3 to 5, but 2-years-olds may benefit from the program too.  Together, we will practice important early literacy, language and articulation skills through stories, songs and activities for young children and their caregivers to use together! Abbot Public Library will feature the fantasy musical film following the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl's novel. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he eventually became driven to enter the chocolate industry. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl's novel. This movie is suggested for children ages 6 and up.
