Crazy Cool Collage
Clip, cut, collect, compose, and collage creative constructions and assemblages made from a variety of materials. Student creations will include wall-sized drawings, sculptures with wood and found objects, as well as a combination of printmaking, photography, and magazine collage. We will look at the mixed mediums of Robert Rauschenberg, the cutting-edge pieces by the Twentieth Century’s greatest master of collage, Kurt Schwitters, and the crazy upside-down world of Julian Schnabel as we make and manipulate an artful array of free associations.

Do you keep a diary? Do you record your dreams? Do you write notes to your friends and family? Do you sketch and doodle or write stories? This week, students will construct their own ornate books from cover to cover! Students will learn the art of traditional binding while experimenting to add their unique touches. We’ll use our imaginations to incorporate painting, printing, drawing, and collage techniques to make our books pop with personality.

Seven-week-long workshops reveal the diverse traditions of art around the world. This Cape Ann summer studio is the perfect setting for your child to express and explore their creativity.
Developed by artist and educator Dawn Southworth, Annisquam Arts tips off its 30th season by offering a variety of workshops for young artists. Conducted at Dawn’s open and professional home studio on Goose Cove, we have easy access to Gloucester’s cultural center and Cape Ann’s most scenic spots. The entire program runs for seven weeks, June 24 - August 8, 2024, with new courses each week.
Young Artists’ Summer Studio Workshops run Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm for ages 6-14. We’ll have a blast engaging with a wide range of materials and artistic techniques in a multi-sensory studio environment. Small class sizes and individual instruction allow for all levels of ability to be nurtured. All classes are led by Dawn.
MAC Summer Camps have been offering an extensive diversity of activities for youth ages 3-16 during the summer months for over 16 years. Manchester Athletic Club offers a variety of day camps ranging from a full week adventure based camp to a daily tennis camps. Our flexible options make it easy to get your children involved, keeping them active throughout the summer and creating memories to last a lifetime!

MAC Summer Camp programs are packed with endless fun for children ages 3 -16 years of age. The MAC Camp Directors provide a safe, fun and positive camp experience for all the kids.
Summer Shore Camps run June 16 through August 22. Summer Shore Camps including Boston Red Sox Baseball Summer Camp and Boston Children’s Theatre. Shore Country Day School offers a variety of Summer Shore Camps focusing on both sports and enrichment. Full- and half-day camps are available and welcome students in grades 1-10.
