Gloucester Education Foundation is proud to host the 6th Power of Play Festival, a day of play for families and kids of all ages. Play is an important learning tool that promotes creative and innovative thinking. Play also helps kids develop skills that are a foundation for life-long success, including critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and collaboration. All are welcome to come experience interactive, hands-on, inclusive, low-tech activities in six areas: MOVE, CREATE, GAMES, TOUCH, BUILD, and DISCOVER!

April Vacation Week at Maritime Gloucester

Maritime Gloucester has planned some interesting programs for kids during April Vacation 2024! The programs are geared towards learning about life in the sea, around it and on it! Four sessions are offered through the week for kids ages 5-10, with age-based groups for kids aged 5-7 in the morning and 8-10 in the afternoon. These sessions are part story, part presentation and part art or craft project. Kids will learn about sea life, coastal habitats and the food chain that supports us all!

Ocean's Weirdest at Maritime Gloucester

Learn about some of the strangest ocean creatures during April Vacation at Maritime Gloucester, Massachusetts!

Come to Stage Fort Park in Gloucester for the 42nd Annual Waterfront Festival.

Historic Stage Fort Park along Gloucester Harbor will once again blossom into the colorful 42^nd Annual Gloucester Waterfront Festival. A collection of over 175 Juried Artists and Craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations, live music, plus delicious ethnic foods. A pancake breakfast and traditional New England Lobster Bake complement this picture perfect seaport event!

Heritage Day in Gloucester

Maritime Gloucester & Ocean Alliance hosts a day of free exciting demonstrations and interactive fun for all ages in Gloucester Massachusetts.

Maritime Gloucester is hosting their annual Heritage Day in honor of the Gloucester Schooner Festival 2023. Step aboard a schooner, learn about traditional shipbuilding and fitting out, watch America’s oldest marine railway in action, or explore the unique biology that makes our oceans so amazing. You can find it all at Maritime Heritage Day! Maritime Gloucester will be hosting a variety of local community organizations with an exciting array of demonstrations and interactive options for all ages.

Bruins Pajama Drive

Drop off new pajama donations at libraries across the North Shore as part of the Boston Bruins PJ Drive

From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Saint Peter's Fiesta 5k

The Saint Peter's Fiesta 5k Road Race hosted by the Cape Ann YMCA is a healthy opportunity for families to be directly involved with this traditional community celebration in Gloucester! Kids are encouraged to enter, and all funds raised by the race go to the Cape Ann YMCA Summer Camps program.
