Green Meadows Farm invites is hosting a Road Race put on by the NFMA.

You do not have access to view this node is hosting a road/trail race put on by the National Farmers Market Association. Highlights of this event will include a 1 mile race, a fun run and 5k trail/road race. This is not just a race, though. There's plenty of fun stuff to do at the farm that make this a day long celebration for family and friends of the runners with educational demos, music, children activities, celebrity chefs from the greater Boston area, farmers market and the local craft brewer community.

AFA Pizza Night

Come to Flatbread Pizza - Amesbury for great wood-fired, home-made flatbread pizza and help Amesbury's 'sister' Community in Africa - Esabalu in West Kenya! Proceeds from the sale of pizzas will go to benefit the Amesbury for Africa school uniform program that provides uniforms to children in need who are required to wear uniforms to school to qualify for education benefits. For every Pizza sold, Amesbury for Africa will receive a donation of $3.75 - dine in or take out.

Cancer Prevention Cooking Demonstration

The first line of defense in preventing cancer is making the right food choices.

Together, Anna Jaques Hospital and Commonwealth Newburyport Cancer Center, present an engaging event to educate the community about cancer prevention. The FREE seminar and cooking demonstration will be led by local holistic health counselor Tanya Tzitzon. She will give a brief overview of basic foods, like fresh or frozen vegetables and fruits, whole grains, healthy good quality fats, legumes, quality proteins and  herbs and spices that should be incorporated into your diet and why.
