Come with friends and family to discover some of Gloucester's History through art and community, enjoy seasonal foods and cider with old friends and new during open hours. Tour this historic landmark, one of Gloucester's firts grand homes featuring the beautiful craftsmanship, architecture and style of an era long gone by. You'll also hear a bit of the inspiring story of the original owner, women's rights advocate Judith Sargent Murray (1751-1820).

Did you know the celebration of Christmas was once illegal in Massachusetts? Please join the folks at Rebecca Nurse Homestead for a celebration of the fall harvest and see what all the fuss was about! Activities will include Colonial living history demonstrations, kid's crafts, a special holiday themed exhibit, seasonal refreshments - including everything from gingerbread to hot wassail!

For more than one hundred years, wild cranberries have grown in the sand dunes behind Crane Beach. With our staff naturalist as your guide, join us for this cranberry workshop. You'll learn about the history and habits of this local fruit, and get a boots-on-the-ground feel for the matrix of trails that crisscross Castle Neck. When you finally arrive at the bog (our largest and most hidden) you'll have the opportunity to pick cranberries. Later, we'll head up to the Great House kitchen on Castle Hill to make something tasty. We'll even send you home with a few of our favorite Thanksgiving recipes!
