Did you know National Donut Day started in Chicago in 1938 as a tribute to The Salvation Army “Doughnut Lassies”? The Lassies traveled overseas during WWI to help support & boost morale of front line troops by setting up small huts to provide supplies and baked goods. Nicknamed “Donut Lassies,” the women who served donuts to troops are often credited with popularizing the donut in the United States.

The Northeast Balloon Festival will take place Friday, July 12 - Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the Three County Fairgrounds in Northampton, MA. Attendees will experience a weekend full of Hot Air Balloons, Tethered Rides, Walk-in Balloons, Nighttime Balloon Glows, Pilot Meet & Greets, and Competitions. 30+ of New Englands Top Food Trucks will offer gourmet varieties from Tacos and BBQ to Deep Fried Oreos and Lobster Rolls.
