Phillips Academy Chamber Orchestra Concert

The Phillips Academy Chamber Orchestra Concert is free and open to the public

the Chamber Orchestras of Phillips Academy will present a concert in Cochran Chapel on the Phillips Academy campus.  The Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Elizabeth Aureden and Christina Landolt, will perform Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Charterhouse Suite,” a suite of dances in the English style originally written for piano but orchestrated by James Brown in collaboration with the composer.

Essex North Shore Technical High School hosts an open house for prospective incoming students from the North Shore.

Essex North Shore Technical High School will be having an open house on November 17th from 9a – noon.  The high school is located on 565 Maple Street, Hathorne (Danvers), MA.

Prospective students and families are invited to attend. Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School admits students from a 17 member community to their career technical, animal science, and agricultural programs. 

Students from across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are also eligible to apply for admission to Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School’s animal science, agricultural, and natural resource programs.

Wicked Wednesday Children's Costume Parade & Party

Creative Salem and Phoenix School, Salem MA host the

Salem will be getting all sorts of adorable and spooky as Creative Salem and Phoenix School host the Wicked Wednesday Children's Costume Parade & Party in Downtown Salem. The parade will start at Riley Plaza and will head up Washington St. to Lappin Park and then head down the Pedestrian Mall to the fountain stage where the kids will have a dance and costume party. At the stage, there will be kids music and performances by some character actors featuring popular costumed character personalities and more.

Remember those special college professors whose lectures kept you wide awake and wanting to hear more? The ones you wished could be cloned? Steven Schragis, a Tufts University graduate, came up with a solution almost as good. He founded One Day University for adults in 2006. By canvassing campuses and talking to students, he finds the most popular educators and then works closely with them to develop engaging talks that inform and inspire their adult students-for-a-day.
