Free! Fun safety course, bike inspections, and free helmets in the parking lot at Lynch Park. The George Robertson memorial bike rodeo is hosted by the Beverly Police Department, with generous contributions by the Beverly Kiwanis. All who attend will be instructed in bicycle safety, and all can participate in a safety obstacle course. There will also be bike inspections, free helmets (quantities limited) and more!

Beverly Homecoming Grand Finale of Fireworks. Enjoy the fireworks by boat, or on your favorite Beverly Beach with your neighbors, friends, and family. The fireworks are set off in Mackerel Cove off of Lynch Beach and can be seen all along Mackerel Cove (Dane St. Beach, Independence Park). Join us for the annual Salem Maritime Festival on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Salem Maritime National Historical Park on Derby Street. This event is free and open to the public. Salem Maritime Festival will feature a cardboard boat race, free tours and programs at historic buildings and the Friendship of Salem, food trucks and lawn games.
The Salem Jazz and Soul Festival has always been about bringing great music to the people of Salem, so we are bringing the Salem Jazz and Soul Festival downtown this year with a special one day event at Salem Willows Park. Enjoy live performances, vendors market, educational workshops, and more!
The Salem Ice Scream Bowl is a chance to taste some classic favorite flavors, as well as a few new ones, from the area’s best ice cream shops, and is a great time for children as well as adults. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children, CASH ONLY. Spoons and napkins will be supplied with purchase of a ticket. Tickets are purchased on site on the day of the event.
