Join the fun while doing good at the 24 hour-long MDA Muscle Walk Challenge at Ken Spellman Track in Ipswich this this June! One of our friends, Deb LaFrance, will be walking the full 24 hour stint to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, with a goal of $20,000. Meanwhile, the stars of early spring are entering from the east. What causes this seasonal variation, what are some of the better known stars and constellations, and what celestial treasures are there for you to enjoy through a telescope? This evening's program is intended to help you find out.
The Manchester Mothers Club has a great fundraiser going on all month long in the towns of Manchester, Beverly, Gloucester and Essex during April! For just $20 ($25 to remain anonymous) they will send a flock of pink flamingos to decorate the location of your choice for a day. This is a lot of fun and people (especially kids) really get a laugh over being flocked! Flock your friends, relatives, coworkers or anybody that you think needs a little silly fun in their day!
Ghostlight Chorus is an exceptional 16-member chamber choir who performs a varied repertoire of sacred and secular a cappella compositions from the 16th to the 21st centuries. Their performances range from cathedrals to concert halls to the PS1 Benefit at MoMA New York to a live performance with the Rolling Stones. The performance will include Rockport High School Madrigals and Chorus.

Kids are invited to a fun, interactive morning of music and movement with Sarah Gardner at the Peabody Institute Library in Danvers! Sarah's act includes the audience as part of the band. With a set of romping songs, kids get to sing, dance and play along to their favorite stomping, jumping, flying, twirling songs. Come join the fun - Sarah keeps the kids playing, singing and dancing!
LEGOland Discovery Center Boston is opening this May in Somerville and they're looking for kids to be on their Junior Construction Panel! If your child is a LEGO afficianado and aged 5 - 12 (as of May 23, 2014), they are eligible to enter a contest to be one of twelve children join the the panel. The Junior Construction Panel will assist our Master Model Builder for Boston, Ian Coffey, with important tasks at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston, such as testing the rides and helping at the Grand Opening Celebration.
Rockport Music hosts two young composer/musicians for a FREE recital at their beautiful waterfront performing arts center in Rockport Massachusetts! Szilvia Mikó and Matthew Woodard are young musicians/composers who will perform works by Beethoven, Copland, Khachaturian, Howard Frazin, as well as compositions of their own.
