CAM Kids will teach kids the basics of Calligraphy at Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester

Learn calligraphy basics with specialist Albina Papows. Inspired by the special exhibition Unfolding Histories: Cape Ann before 1900. Write your name, use calligraphy tools and leave with a sampler to take home. This family workshop is recommended for children 7 and up with an adult. Registration required.

When school is closed, Taste Buds Kitchen is open! A new and unique menu is offered each week. Register for a few weeks or even a single day.

Every day kids make two to three recipes – always one savory and one sweet – while whipping up batches of fun. Younger chefs focus on the basics along with kitchen games while the older camps tackle advanced techniques and culinary challenges. Professional Culinary Instructors and Kid Experts lead the way for a camp your budding chef won’t soon forget! A TBK apron is included for each full-week camper as well as flexible drop-off from 8:30-9:00am for a small fee.

No lengthy recipes or special shopping list needed… we’ll prepare delicious, creative dishes using only a handful of seasonal ingredients and culinary techniques for simple success in your home kitchen. These recipes are sure to please all, whether weeknight suppers for the family or company dinners, and our menu may include dishes such as Escarole & Dropped Egg Soup with Parmesan, Maple & Mustard Crusted Chicken, Shell Pasta with Spicy Red Clam Sauce, and Sheet Pan Veggie Roasts. Class includes hands-on cooking, chef instruction, printed recipes, and a wonderful meal at the end of the evening.
