Abbott Library in Marblehead hosts a fun recycling activity with Barbara Roy

How long does trash last? Come to the library for a fun recycling activity with Barbara Roy! Kids will learn what kinds of trash last and for how long a time, and how to protect sea creatures by keeping that trash out of the ocean. Barbara Roy is a 20-year Marblehead resident who recently crossed the Atlantic on a scientific mission to study micro-plastics. Children are invited to this interactive program, chosen as part of our Green Paws activity series.

Join Discover Marblehead and Marblehead Museum for the second annual FALL FAIR in the Lee Mansion Gardens from 10am-2pm featuring local Artists, Music and lawn games for the kids! Stroll the gardens, mingle and shop with featured local artisans and purchase a mini pumpkin kit to support the Marblehead Food Pantry! Free admission. Rain Date October 3rd.

Marblehead’s Premier Summer Swimming Camp

Devereux School in Marblehead is pleased to offer Camp Devereux, a summer program for children ages 3 to 9. Since 1932, our young campers have enjoyed the serenity of our large private playground surrounded by trees offering natural shade.

Camp Devereux runs for 8 weeks from late June through mid August from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday.
Early drop off (8am) and late pick up (5pm) are available daily at $12 per hour.
Both full and partial weekly and daily rates are available , come for days, weeks or the whole summer!

Katherine Lewis, researcher and author of The Good News about Bad Behavior, will speak in Tower's Phillips Library. Ms. Lewis presents a comprehensive portrait of bad behavior—and highlights game-changing strategies. Lewis, a certified parent educator, walks parents through 4 empowering approaches, all of which share three key components, to help parents navigate tricky behavioral situations and work toward better solutions. Her outline of an Apprenticeship Model of parenting gives kids responsibility within increasing limits.

We honor the work of teachers, first responders and others whose professional expertise strengthens our local communities, expands the worlds of our children and keeps our local towns safe. Tower School recognizes the impact of these professionals with a scholarship of up to 50% of Tower's tuition for their children. Applicants may also qualify for supplemental tuition assistance to bridge the gap between the scholarship and a family's ability to pay the remaining tuition.

Come join the Recreation Department the Marblehead Family Fund for the annual indoor winter carnival. There will be carnival games, a bounce house, giant slidecrafts and more!. This is a wonderful way to break up the monotomy of a cold New England winter and spend a day in town with the family, so bring the family for an afternoon of fun! Funds raised will go towards the Rebuild of the Hobbs Playground!
