Special guest instructor and children’s book illustrator, Katy Bratun, will be leading this family friendly craft starting at 1:00pm at the NPS Visitor Center in Salem.

Children get to make their own wee boat, and all can board real ones. Calling all LEGO lovers! Join us on Wednesday, Februrary 19th during school vacation for an exciting LEGO Friendship "Make & Take" event co-hosted by Essex Heritage and the National Park Service! Participants will have the chance to make and take home their very own lighthouse keeper minifigure and mini Bakers Island Light. Space is limited, so reservations are required. Come celebrate the maritime heritage of Salem through the art of LEGO building!
Take a stroll up historic Chestnut Street and join the sea chantey-singing Salem pirates for tricks, treats, and treasures at Historic New England’s Phillips House on Halloween night. This special family-friendly event is free and takes place on Thursday, October 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Salem’s official trick-or-treating hours.
