The Councours d'Elegance is a fundraiser for Endicott College scholarship programs

Praised by car aficionados as one of the best shows in New England, the Misselwood Concours d’Elegance is a boutique car show that also serves as a fundraiser for scholarships at Endicott College. The show attracts car owners and crowds from across New England and has become the prime classic car event of the summer. Located on the waterfront, the Misselwood Estate offers unrivaled lawn and oceanfront setting with views of the Atlantic Ocean, which forms an incredible backdrop for iconic cars and motorcycles and will turn the event in a great family-friendly weekend.

Annual Newburyport High Street Mile

The Annual High street Mile includes categories for kids races and is part of Newburyport Yankee Homecoming!

Now in its 31st year, this one mile road race, occurring during Newburyport's Historic Yankee Homecoming Festival. It features multiple races including a children's heat with medals for all the little finishers! Cash prizes for overall and age group winners! There will be snacks and beverages at the finish line and beer tickets for a free beer and post race viewing party at the Winner's Circle Sport's Bar post race! Proceeds to benefit Winner's Circle Running Club and Newburyport All-Sports Boosters.

US Coast Guard Station Tours

Tour the Newburyport Coast Guard station as part of Newburyport Yankee Homecoming.

The Coast Guard Station in Newburyport stands as a testament to over 100 years of service to the opening of the Merrimack River and the coastal regions from the North Shore to Portsmouth, NH. Join us as we honor the men and women who serve our City at the U.S. Coast Guard Station on the Merrimack River.  The station will be open to the public on Thursday August 1st from 10:00am – 2:00pm giving tours and providing life saving techniques while discussing the hazards of the Merrimack River entrance.

Art on the Bartlet Mall

For 40 years there has been the Art on Bartlet Mall painting show the first weekend of Newburyport Yankee Homecoming.

For 42 years there has been the Art on Bartlet Mall painting show the first weekend of Yankee Homecoming.  This year 60 artists again will be showing all media of work including a few hand-pulled printing artists.  The artists are from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and even New Jersey.  There are award winners in over half of the participants.

High School Battle of the Bands

Newburyport High School Battle of the Bands is part of the NBPT Yankee Homecoming.

Newburyport Yankee Homecoming invites you to the Annual High School Battle of the Bands. Local High School aged bands will compete to see who rises to the top and with top winners getting cash prizes, performing live at other Yankee Homecoming Events and paid gigs for the band.  Watch local student bands battle it out on the stage, and help your favorite band by voting for them!

Yankee Homecoming Fireworks

Yankee Homecoming will once again hold its traditional grand finale fireworks.

Display performed and partially sponsored by Atlas. Co-sponsored by various local merchants, banks and the citizens of Newburyport*. Bring your blanket or chair, sit and relax, listen to the concert and get ready for the oohs and aahhhs. A spectacular fireworks display is being planned for your enjoyment.
