NBPT Cornhole and the Merrimack River Watershed Council present the 1st Annual "Save Our River Festival". This event will take place at the outdoor pavilion of the Newburyport Elks, and will feature a Giant Cornhole Tournament, BBQ, a cash bar, live music, an art show, games and more. This will be a family friendly event for all ages, and will help to raise money for the Merrimack River Watershed Council (MWRC).
Come to Firehouse Center for the Arts for a very special Family Event. Enjoy games, crafts, tea, and snacks PLUS an Easter Egg Hunt. And, perhaps, even a visit from the Easter Bunny - complete with dance party and photos with the Bunny! The YWCA Greater Newburyport enters its 140th year serving the community, we invite you to join us once again for our annual Engaging Communities Luncheon on Wednesday, April 26th from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. Our theme this year is “Our Children, Our Future” as we showcase the childcare programs that have been a critical factor in allowing women to return to the workforce and help support their families through affordable housing, preschool and school age child care, health and welfare and racial justice.
Miss Lisa invites you to join her for some family-friendly seasonal nature walks in the area. Together we will explore the salt marsh, the woods, and more. We will look for birds, mammals, and of course, mushrooms! We'll use our "science eyes" and "nature ears" and learn, play, and discover together.
Come help clean the beach at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge! You can help clean up the beach for nesting shorebirds druing this Spring volunteer event. Meet volunteers from the Friends of Parker River NWR at parking lot 1 before going out on the beach to clean up debris. Friends' volunteers and park rangers will be on available to help with heavy items. They will orient you and hand out trash bags. Friends' volunteers and park rangers will be available to help with heavy items. Come for the day or for an hour. All are welcome. Event will be held rain or shine. No preregistration is required; simply show up!
