Ages 4 - 11. Kids, read to Bentley, our therapy dog friend from B.O.N.E.S.! Bring some books with you or select them from the Children's Room to read to our friendly dog buddy. You'll have 15 minutes to read to our canine companion, who will happily enjoy your stories. This helps to build reading fluency and confidence! Great for reluctant readers! One child per time slot, please.
Come to Ipswich Public Library during April Vacation week for family fun. We'll have 4 days of family activities from Tuesday - Friday! Schedule as follows:
Teen chess club! Bring your brain and your sportspersonship, we have the games and the friends! For ages 11-18 only. Registration required.
Kids of all ages! Enjoy a Spring Scavenger Hunt in Children's Room. If they find all of the scavenger hunt items, they can choose a shiny prize from the Treasure Chest! Sponsored by the Danvers' SEPAC in collaboration with the Peabody Institute Library of Danvers. Registration in the event is optional, but will help us ensure that we have enough prizes! Kids who do not register may participate.
Pick a time, grab your crew and follow the Easter eggs through Endicott Park to find the Easter Bunny and snap a photo with him! Those who follow the trail to the end will be rewarded sweetly!
Did you know there's a TEEN & Tween NIGHT at the Y coming up? Open to anyone in 5th-8th grade featuring Dodgeball and Hoops! Call the Y to sign-up or drop in Friday before 6:30 to ensure pizza. Access to the event closes at 7pm.
From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Come to the Danvers Library for fun activities during February Vacation! There are four days of fun planned for kids that including crafting with collage, paper airplanes, juggling and more!
It’s the most WONDERFUL time of the year! It’s Ice Cream for Breakfast Day! Celebrate (in person) once again with Cherry Farm Creamery on Saturday, February 3rd. We will open early that day at 8:30am. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support the Danvers People to People Food Pantry.
