Each November, the Wenham Museum hosts this festive fair of hand-crafted artisan goods. This is a fine occasion to bring the whole family to the museum for a day of fun. Exhibits will be open with special programming and activities for the kids and shopping for the adults.

The Sisters In Stitches Joined By The Cloth will be hosting a Make & Take workshop where attendees can create their own fabric postcards at the Janet & William Ellery James Center at the Cape Ann Museum Green on Sunday, July 24. This hands-on event is presented in conjunction with In Her Mind’s Eye: Doris Elizabeth Prouty, an exhibition of quilts designed and sewn by Gloucester resident and self-taught African American quilter, Doris Elizabeth Prouty. The Open Door invites you to bowl painting session! Bring the kids to come paint bowls for the annual Open Door Empty Bowl Circus in May where painted bowls will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. This free session is an opportunity to express yourself artistically while helping The Open Door raise funds to aid North Shore families and individuals in need.

This is a great hands-on learning experience for children ages 2 and up!
Learn about the Folly Cove Designers' process, then get to work in the Children's Activity Center. Explore the Folly Cove Designs, create prints using stamps, foam shapes and styrofoam. Also, examine a linoleum block and tools similar to those used by the original Designers. This drop-in program is free for members and Cape Ann residents or with Museum admission. Celebrate local author, illustrator and artist Virginia Lee Burton with story time, playing and art making in the Children's Activity Center. Burton authored and illustrated some of the most memorable books ever written for children, and won the 1942 Caldecott Medal for [amazon 0395181569 inline].
Bring your toddler to enjoy story time and looking activities in the galleries, followed by art making. Tours leave on a rolling basis starting at 10:15 am. The last tour leaves at 10:55 am.
